Creating a meeting place within your home for you to connect and learn from growing edible fungi.

Kraters are striking pieces that create a home for your mushrooms and set the stage for their rituals of care, leading to deeper connections between you and the practice of growing edible fungi.

Fungi (also known as mycelium and mushrooms) are becoming more popular in the spheres of biodesign, engineering, product design, and even art.

However, I believe for us to truly understand this kingdom of nature, and to imagine possibilities that actually lie within its scope, we have to understand fungi on a much closer level.

Context is key. By bringing fungi into our homes, within an earthly vessel, and into a daily ritual which helps it grow, we will be able to image a clearer future in which fungi might help us reach more sustainable goals.

Visually engaging,
designed to actually function.

Each Krater “top” is designed to fit within the most popular “spray and grow” kits on the market, meaning beginners can easily stock up once they have grown and harvested their mushrooms.

The base of each Krater collects the sprayed water so it doesn’t drip onto your surfaces.

The Krater’s finish is designed so mycelium cannot degrade the form, and so you can easily disinfect it between uses, avoided the possibility of mold.

No electricity needed - just sunlight and water!
