Curation & Gallery Management

Galería Panza Verde is one of La Antigua’s oldest and longest-running art galleries. Its range famously spans across emerging and established artists, with most of Guatemala’s most famous artists having shown in this gallery at some point during their career. After the pandemic, I took over curation and management for the gallery for six months in-person, and then remotely until my second semester at Rhode Island School of Design. This involved scouting artists, curating monthly shows, organizing openings, as well as hosting artist talks and tours.

During this time, I worked with the following artists:

  • Juan Ripoll

  • Juan Manuel Díaz Puerta

  • Evelyn Clayes

  • Jamie Denburg Habie & Sebastian Schloesser

  • Mod Cárdenas

  • TEGG - Sergio Valencia Salazar, Erick Menchu, Norman Morales

  • Isadore Michas

  • Laurel Jacobson

  • Eve Chayes Lyman

  • Colectivo Último
